Any experiences or owners of BMW X6?

Fallen out of love with the Land Rover brand this last year, but don't know what to drive next.

Any X6 thoughts? Styling aside, that is... TDV6 2010 HSE

A pal of mine bought one after his FFRR got stolen lived with it for 3 months and pxed it for a new FFRR and said the X6 was a terrible mistake on his part and couldn't wait to get rid of it, i didn't ask him why as the X6 has never intrested me, but don't let that put you off everyones needs are different, go and test drive one and make your own mind up, whats putting you off land rover?

I think JayMann bought one after his RRS, just about the time he was doing his hairdressing course. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

My SIL has an X6, she loves it. Especially when it snows as my old man has to do all the running around in a D4 as her X6 won't get out the drive. Whistle

Never spent so much money keeping a car on the road (except an old Merc CL560 that had (literally) moon trip mileage on the clock. )

Local dealer seem professional enough but just last week quoted for all round brake pad replacement at £580!!

I've had 2 Sports now, so hankering after a change.

X6 appeals, but don't like the idea of being stuck in snow. Not that it happens much in Cheshire! Drove an Xdrive40d yesterday, liked the speed, but just didn't 'love' it. Maybe the options weren't spot on, but spending 50k on a car, I've got to love the bloody thing!

The RRS looks dated to me now, even the new model. Considered a Cayenne, but we all know it's a Toe-rag in 20 grands worth of drag. FFRR about to be replaced (depreciation!) and running costs/reliability no better than a Sport. Q7, not my idea of quality motoring.

Feeling a bit stuck!! TDV6 2010 HSE

I'm in a Cayenne at the moment and I know this isn't the place to say it but it drives 10 times better than a RRS, and the comparison on build quality puts Land Rover to shame! Saying that there is just something about the RRS ... I dont know what but I will no doubt have another one at some point.

But whatever you do dont go for an X6, the ride is absolutely awful!

I had a x6 recently.
Harsh ride, thirsty but fast and nice noise.
Buy at the right price, I made money on mine over 6 months!
