New car discounts

Hi

I have just joined the forum while researching the prospect of a new RRS HSE.

Spent the last 7 years in an X5 but it is time for a change.

I was wondering if anyone can shed any light on the topis of new car discounts?
Obviously no like to pay more than you have to in these tuff times and every little helps!
My nearest dealer is Ascot but more than happy to shop around.

Any "inside" info would be greatly appreciated

Always seem to be some good deals on Pistonheads if you don't mind buying from a non authorised dealer... with warranty though...
I personally would always go with a main dealer and haggle hard... poss pay the same... maybe a few pennies more...

Looking around it does seem quite a few brokers suggesting 5K off.

I have dropped the LPR boys an email for a chat.

What i ordered ideal spec....

HSE Fuji/ nero /contrast stitch/ grand blk lqr

power tail.... no probs so far
load retention.... really usefull with power tail
Heated steering wheel... lovely for those cold days
Diamond turned alloys... still looking great... but for how long??
light head lining.... too dark inside with black
HK logic 7...... unreal sound... well worth it
Adaptive headlights..... great for those windy mountain roads (I live in the Pyranees)
Extended leather...... not so much of the nasty plastic ....
Dynamic pack... does what it says on the tin.... very stable in the corners at speed
privacy glass.... just looks slick... worth doing a light tint on front ones as well
Sunroof..... extra light for that black interior
side steps.... useful for g/f
rear bumper steel treadplate... looks good with ex tips
RR new 2012 exhaust tips... look awsome.. pircey though
Vision assist... great in the snow..... hidden curbs etc
dual view screen... keeps g/f quiet
htd seats..... just essential...
Auto high beam assist.... works brilliantly..... well worth it for black country roads... 2014.5 SDV6 AB Dynamic ... Fuji /Santorini Pan roof and 22's

Looks like an HSE with Lux pack and vision pack/tints covers most things.

Just need a colour/interior combo now.
Nice bright blue RRS seen locally - poss special order colour.
Black is nice but sorry guys so common.

Your pulling my leg

If not I do have a nephew in the Jag plant in Midlands

Sunroofs never really appealed to me, cause excessive noise when open & can leak.
The fixed glass roof of the evoque would be nice though.

^^^ Steve will look after you, he's a top guy and did me a decent (I think) deal on my recent RRS purchase.
Added benefit of buying from LPR as I see it, is that if anything does go horribly wrong you have additional means of contact. I've not had cause to contact them (and hopefully won't ) but from what I have seen James and Steve always seem to go the extra mile to help get peoples problems resolved, even if they didn't buy through LPR.
