Land Rover Select Warranty any good?

Hi guys

As my RR doesn't qualify for the Land Rover Approved Warranty, I was thinking of going for the Select Warranty. Has anyone got this and is it worth the £685?

Thanks I went from a Mini Cooper to a:

>> Range Rover Sport (HSE)
>> Midnight Blue
>> '06
>> Hawke Grill, Engine Tuning, Exhaust System
>> Sitting in 20s (need to upgrade to 22s - let me know if you have any for sale)
>> Rear DVD screens
>> Full Beige Leather Interior

Talk about the extra room! Jheez!!

Lots better out there than the LR policies, which are really Car Care Plan policies branded LR. Don't be fooled by the "you don't need to get your plastic out, sir", especially as less is covered, including no wear & tear cover. Whole heap of debate D3side. http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/finance-insu...-vf24.html

I've had nothing but excellent service with my LR warranty? Its a bit more than yours though, think I pay £70 odd a month.

What was amazing about it as your signature says your 2007 car was very reliable.
I do agree however that they are good warranties as i've used mine several times with no questions asked.
Not sure this would be the case with third party warranties though.

The LR Warranty has a lot of short comings, Its sold to you as if its extrended i.e like the warranty your car had for its first three years.. Its NOT and covers way less faults.

Defo read the small print, I think there are a lot better ones out there.

it was super reliable, I only got stranded once (seized starter) and that was at home. None of the common faults like knocking, for example (although I did have a leaky air bag that Sh*tstones took 6 months to fix Censored )

the warranty was excellent - covered so much. They paid out more than £2k (search for details but off the top of my head - starter motor, thermostat, steering column thingy, boot, rear screen) and thanks to Wayne at LPR I didn't have to pick any fights Thumbs Up

It didn't cover... tinting the rear screen Rolling with laughter

best £700 ish spent ever Thumbs Up ============

there's a thread out there somewhere, it's the one where someone didn't realise Quentin's warranty company will call you back a week after quoting and offer you a further 15% off Thumbs Up
