Heard about this story once, where a guy shot at a couple of thieves in his house and took one of their kneecaps out.. the coppers came round, and were about to nick him for assault with a deadly weapon or something, and they said, were you afraid for your life? he said yes, they said did you fire a warning shot, he said No.. they said, No Sir, DID YOU FIRE A WARNING SHOT!? whilst pointing to the roof...

BOOM... yes i did officer.. Very Happy , do you have a license for that firearm, and do you lock it away securely.. he said of course i do..

Don't worry about it then, clearly self defence, our case would fall apart in court, just take a statement let the boys finish downstairs and we'll be out of your hair in no time..

Is this something i've dreamt up or is this an example of a good pair of coppers?

I know for a fact that coppers get seriously p Censored d off with this.

A mate of mine is a 6'8" rugby playing copper who is, how can I say it.............A right hard b Censored d!

All the coppers send him into fights to split it up.

One time there were some nutters who had taken out the 4 door staff at a rough pub in Manchester and were trashing the place.

He was sent in and out came the baton.

First one straight in the knees, second one stomach then back of the head, third one he uppercutted and sent him over the pool table and the fourth one stood his ground with a pool cue.

Next thing he walked out of the pub with the lad in a headlock with a broken nose, bleeding eye and turning blue.

Tried to kick off again in the back of the van so again, my mate steps forward to get in the back of the van and 'Calm him down a bit'

The doors close and the van nearly turns over as a ruck starts in the back.

30 secs later all goes quiet and door opens.

The lad, slumped in the back of the van was in a crumpled heap and had p Censored d himself.

All the other coppers on the scene backed him up saying he got 'The marks' resisting arrest! Laughing

A genuinely true story! Laughing Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

sounds like the type that is one in a million however..

Once i was driving out of town in my 330d sport, and as i pulled out of this driveway onto the road, a kid sprinted past and i nearly mowed him down.. i just thought he was a prick and carried on rolling forward, and on looking right i see a copper running full pelt towards the side of the car.. he was clearly loosing the chase and was clearly knackered.. i had my window down, so asked him if he wanted some assistance.. he said 'go on then' and jumped in the passenger side.. i absolutely floored it up the road, and soon caught the dick up who nearly scratched my lovely new Bmw as he ran past.. i stuck the car up the kerb and the copper opened the door and pounced on the lad, who had clearly given up and started crying in a Censored up state, saying "i diddn't dooo anythinngg",, copper cuffed and pushed him onto the ground, as he had assaulted someone else up the road..

But the thing that got me was.. no thanks, no smile.. nothing.. he just shut my door and waved for me to drive away.. thas gratitude for you! must have though, better not let this kid think i owe him anything, and also probably not looked good a cop getting into a private vehicle to chase a kid down in! was still exciting though, my only Jack Bauer moment in life.. proper swerved the car up the kerb and blocked the kid off.. starksy and hutch style!

All due to the lord god almighty Mr A. Blair who thinks low life should be permitted to have "human rights".................. I have human rights too and they amount to my stuff belongs to me, I paid for it and they are not entitled to it. By breaking into anybody's property low lifers should forego all "human rights" If the government wants to give them "human rights" then low lifers should not be sent to prison, they should have a hand cut off................ you only transgress twice and then you have a problem! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Martin.... Laughing Yes indded. A 'Session' with Jabba the Hutt would be ample deterrent.

Tim, I agree completely.

If someone broke into my house, I would beat the Censored out of them for first and foremost putting my wife in danger.

I'd then give 'em another for trying to take the stuff I......sat around doing nothing....so hard for! Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

The plot thickens, after visiting my brother in laws houses tonight..
it emerges that, the car was pursued for two miles when they lost it on a bend and colided with a lamppost, unfortunately they didn't all die on impact, two got out of the rear and scarpered, the other two were in the front and were detained.
The Police chopper was circulating the area, but did not find any trace of the other youths.. this has really scared the crap out of them all.. my brother in law despite making his driveway rival fort knocks, is thinking of cancelling his RS4..despite loosing his deposit possibly, he doesn't want to endanger his wife and kids, which is fair enough in my book, just a shame they are letting this effect their lives so much, they had a golf v6 nicked not long ago, but them entering the property and actually coming into eyeshot of my sisters father in law has scared him silly.

Our house is now being scrutinised for its security, alarm is now on downstairs as i type all entrances are locked down, and the most expensive cars blocked by another not so expensive one, thinking about getting ADT police linked alarm systems for all our houses now.

Im not going to let me RS4 endanger me and im not going to take any risks with it.. thinking of booking myself onto one of these security evasive driving courses, to let myself be prepared for the worst case scenarios..

Belgium 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

In the UK it sounds like these thefts are mostly being carried out by punks.

Here is Belgium, car jacking and house jacking (breaking into the house to steal the keys to the car) are an ongoing threat with most cars being stolen on order by Eastern European organised criminals. This is a small country - within 20 minutes of my neighbourhood, south of Brussels - you are in another country and another jurisdiction. Cars stolen here (where I live a Bentley was stolen about three weeks ago) head east to Germany and on to Poland and points East. The thieves are pros and can be very violent (beat the Bentley owner pretty badly) and even deadly. Apart from avoiding the most sought after cars (you are very safe with a Saab Wink ), making sure the car doors lock automatically when the car is moving, supporting some form form of neighbourhood watch, parking in a clearly lit area at night, never opening the window for anyone (beggars...) - the best advice I've had is to leave the car keys in the house where they will find them easily. The car can always be replaced.... 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE, Java/Ebony/Cherry, Privacy, Sunroof, PTI, Premium Sound, SatNav, Cold Climate, Tow kit, CarStyle coded grill and vents, Tasmods, Stormers, JE Exhaust, Autobiography badge

It is mostly youth punks here, beasically being given the job of the donkey work, and then being paid per car they pickup to the people they take them to, The people they take them to are usually a lot more organised and pro's (if you could call them that!)..

There is this website on car jacking which gives some good tips:
