Wanted - Bluetooth Module

My 2.7 TD HSE won't seem to pair with a iPhone 4. It searches and searches but doesn't pick it up which would imply I so not have the Bluetooth module

Where is the best place to buy one?

Is the module all I need to get this working?

Cheers

Not at all Ady it's a valid quest and yes it's on display of iPhone

I search for devices and it picks up eg other phones in the car but not the range rover

The weird thing is, once I think "Handsfree" appeared in list of devices and I tried to pair via code 2121 but didn't work

Handsfree has never appeared again and from what iv read it should say Landrover not Handsfree

If there is anything I can try or look for in the car to see if I have what's needed let me know

B/T Mod

I take it that you have the steering wheel switches on the R/H/Side of wheel (sorry for being so anal)
The module is in the rear bay on the right hand side of the side wall behind the removable cover. A black box about 4" tall by 3"wide and 1"thick easy to see with torch and easy to remove and update with replacement module from "Wiggs". He even supplys the instructions and tool, this upgrade allows the phone book to be displayed on the radio screen.

If you've been able to pair with other phones using the 2121 code, then yes you have the module.

The name that will appear, can also initially be 'Handsfree' but it will usually change to LAND ROVER.

Wiggs Modules are £60 exchange service. You post your old one back. Thumbs Up

(not sure if he has a link in here, so here's the Disco3 link)

As artciwarrior said though, just check in the boot

Its a bit of an odd situation tbh....

I tried to pair once and Handsfree came up, i tried 2121 but it said it was the wrong code.

Since then, i have never been able to get Handsfree to come up on the devices screen on my iphone again Sad

I thought i had a button on my steering wheel for blue tooth but i dont

On the right hand side i have Mode, Forward >> and Back <<

On the left hand side i have Cruise Control and under it i have the Voice Command big button

So, i am now not sure if my car even has bluetooth!! If it doesnt, why did Handsfree once come up and it allowed me to try pair with it by putting in a pin number although its never happened again

Help!! lol!!

maybe it had just tried connecting to another nearby car?

You can retro fit one with a bit of jiggering with the cables. No idea if you have the same space up front for them as the D3's have.

Module (get the D4 one if you are going to buy a new module) is about £160 and a Cable from Wiggs for about £35 ISTR

Then yoiu'll need it enabling as well. Not sure who has a RRS licenced Faultmate though, mines only for D3. Bodsys Brake Bible
