Alright guys,

Had a bit of a rocky start with the Range Rover to be honest starting from Tuesday.

So my local main dealer called me last week saying I could pick the RR up on Tuesday but the bottom ball joint had gone so they've ordered one but it's on back order, no problem I thought as they told me I'd get a loan car for the day while mine was in the workshop.

Anyway so I collected the RR on Tuesday night and got about 1 mile down the road when the car went in to limp home mode and the dash was flashing engine system fault.
Back to the dealer I went

Turns out the EGR valve had gone so they replaced it with 2 new ones according to the dealers so all good and I got the RR back.

The salesman told me the RR had only had 1 owner from new and I had no reason not to believe him as I asked him the amount of owners on 3 occasions every time with him replying the same answer 1 owner from new, so I now own the car and loving it apart from the fuel consumption lol (20 mpg from a 2.7 lol)

I decided to do a HPI just to find out the anal bits like when It was first registered etc...
To my horror it turns out I'm the 5th owner

I called the dealer the next day and told them I want to return the car for a full refund (I don't really but just want some money back to adjust for this)
I've now got a meeting with the dealer principle, sales manager and the sales man that told me it had only one owner tomorrow so see what they come up with.

Anyway in the mean time I've started the modding already, here's what I've done:

22" overfinch supersport 7 replicas with tyres
Front and rear black LR badges
Clear side repeaters with silver bulbs
Front and rear RR chrome sill protectors
Private plates bought but not fitted yet as waiting for the reg docs to come back from dvla
LR RR carpet mats

I wouldn't have spent a penny on it until the initial issues were sorted out.

Shocking to hear the salesman either pulled the wool over ypour eyes wrt no of owners or didn't do his job properly !!

I also would not have toucked the car until i had a satisfactory resolution.

If I was the dealership and saw the car turn up with all those mods I would be less inclined to offer you any discount (as it suggests to me that you already like teh car) and just say it was already factored into the original offer price, irrespective of whether the salesman had told you or not ! Proud owner of a 2008 TDV8 HSE.....and an Audi A3 2.0T DSG Cab and a Porsche 911 Turbo (Mercedes W208 320 CLK and Mercedes W124 E220 Estate now gone)

The dealership will 100% not see my RR again unless we both agree for me to retun!!!
