Side Step Fitting ?

Hey all, new to the forum here and im looking to fit some side steps, have seen them on ebay, but not sure whether to get the ones that come with cut sills or just buy the steps and try and cut my own.

Has anyone fitted there own, cut there sills, any tips/advice would be brilliant.....

Hi and welcome to the site Thumbs Up
This link will tell you all you need to know, with instruction video , i'd recommend pre-cut sills, you can get them for £210 off e-bay with pre-cut sills.

Side Steps

Hi, just wondered how you got on with your steps?? Bought a RRS last week and then a set of side steps from e-Bay. The steps look to be good quality but have no fitting instructions and no template for the sill cut outs. I've downloaded the instructions from the LR site so no problem there but I'm unsure about the cut outs for the sill. I was told that there are markings on the sill for the cut outs but if anyone can confirm whether this is the case or not it would be much appreciated.

Hi Tony, they are simple to fit mate, a bit time consuming but no bother. I actually orderd the set with the precut sills, you can actually get them for the same price and same quality.

Thanks guys, sidesteps now fitted, not too bad a job but my sills didn't have the markings on. Not too much of a problem as the cut out dimensions on the Land Rover site worked fine. Easy enough to cut through the plastic with a hack saw/sharp stanley blade. Onto the next two jobs now, front parking sensors and rear door latch mechanism, wish me luck!!!!!! Rolling Eyes

All Done!!!

Well that's the sensors and door latch assembly sorted. Sensors not too bad just have to remove the bumper but the door latch a bit fiddly and I managed to damage my speaker in the process Sad If anyone's going to attempt this there is some good info on the disco3 forum, and I'd be glad to give any advice if it would help. Now then, what's next??? (Anyone got a Harmon Kardon standard speaker for sale??)
