Thoughts on this please guys!

I know that you TDV6 & TDV8 guys will hate this but I own a 4.2S/C and have been promising myself a new 5Ltr for 2012 and (thank God) 2012 is here!! Bow down

Thoughts on price, spec and colour if you please! But not the MPG!!

If anybody has a 5Ltr I'd love to know all about it?

http://www.harwoods.uk.com/landrover/used-...-SC-V8-HSE Cheers Laurence.

TDV8 owner here - I definitely don't hate you - in fact you are actually a half brother...just a bit delinquent Wink

Seriously, I'd love an extended drive in the SC but don't think any of the dealers do such a thing do they? If I did less miles than the 28k I've been doing it could make sense.

Looked at the link you posted and was surprised at how much they were asking for that one - I thought SCs were particularly bad on initial depreciation?

If you can go for it - you have my blessing Laughing

Lovely car. I do like the blue Thumbs Up

And that garage has some strange pricing going on. They have 2.7 TDV6 with high mileage for the same sort of money as much lower mileage 3.6TDV8! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

All you have to do busters is test drive one. It's bloody amazing. I had the 4.2 supercharged and I thought THAT was quick until I drove the 5ltr. OMG. I dont do high millage so I think they are great on fuel. Also inside the cabin they are well improved. Good luck with search and the blue does look good. Thumbs Up MY11 Autobiography supercharged. Gone MY08 Supercharged HST. Java black. Ivory premium interior. Rear screens. Privacy. Missed a lot.

On a series note, however, 5L is obviously very powerful - no matter at what speed you are going! Let it be 110mph, you always have the power to overtake anyone easily!

Cost... I cannot complain - I knew what I was getting into, i.e. 11-12mpg. Full tank gets you about 500kms (310miles) on motorways, cannot comment on urban roads though, all depends on the traffic.

What else Smile

The roar........ You'll have to hear it for yourself Bow down Vadim A.

At the moment I do not really know anything about the prices on RRS. So I am the last person you want to get the advice from Laughing Vadim A.

Definitely no hatred here and if i decide to have another after my current V8, I would def go for the 5L.

Not sure about the colour - but that's personal taste.

The one thing I would say is that this car came from the sister garage to where my motor came from - I didn't deal with this particular garage but the dealership I dealt with was only up the road. I have had no problems with the dealer at all (see my post in dealer feedback), but I would say make sure you check the vehicle over thoroughly as mine had quite a few dents and scrapes (which they put right).

Push them for some freebies and some juice in it if you do get it.

Hats off to ya - enjoy - more is def more Thumbs Up Have i got the busted controller?!?!!?
