Yellow Suspension Warning light comes on

Can anyone offer any advice regarding a long standing problem with my 2007 RRS (2.7 V6)?

After about 30 mins of motorway driving, the yellow suspension warning light comes on.

There is no perceivable problem with the actual suspension but the light remains constant until the ignition is turned off. The system resets itself then until you've covered another short distance on the motorway and then the light comes on again.

It's been into two different dealers but none find any fault! I know I'm not imagining the bloody yellow light, so clearly something is wrong! I've read other posts on here regarding the red light coming on and the suspension dropping suddenly, I'm just hoping that this is not the preclude to that scenario!!!
Any suggestions welcomed please.

Hello Markielew
I get the same issue, but ive got a code reader, so managed to capture it.
Issue is failure to vent due to the damp. there is a inline filter with silicone (used to dry the air), it can be opened and dried., but usually will dry its self.

Thanks Shepp,
I Appreciate the speedy response.
How do I find the vent and is there any way I can replace the filter or the silicone?
Regards
Mark

hello
sorry about the delay, been on a break in Edinburgh, keeps the wife happy shoping for 4 days. I happy with all the food and drink.
Anyway
The dryer is connected to the compressor, just a vessel woth silicone balls and filters. Remove clean and dry, fairly easy. just dont be tempted to overtighten any connectors. No 8 is the dryer body

Air Dryer
The air dryer is an integral part of the air supply unit. The air dryer contains a desiccant which absorbs moisture.
Pressurised air is passed through the air dryer which removes any moisture in the compressed air before it is passed to
the reservoir and/or the system
When the air is exhausted from the system, the returning air is passed through the air dryer, regenerating the air dryer by
removing moisture from the desiccant and expelling it to atmosphere via the exhaust.
The air dryer is an essential component in the system ensuring that only dry air is present in the system. If moist air is
present in the system, freezing can occur, resulting in poor system operation or component malfunction/failure.

I have the Orange suspension light coming on now everytime I drive but it doesnt affect anything?

Could a fuse have blown?

What should I check first?

Any help would be appreciated.

This thread may help; FWIW I had an amber "wobbly car" suspension light that was traced to a short under the bonnet.

Thanks for the reply, that could be something to check.

Where is the suspension ecu cartridge fuse located? Can someone send me a picture or diagram to point me in the right place of the fuse?

Thanks

James

I had this....turned out to be a valve leaking in the suspension somewhere.

Took them a while to find it as they had to disconnect everything and leave it overnight to see which corner was leaking.

All done under warranty thank god! Wink Wife's Car: BLACK RRS TDV8 HSE with all the bits Smile
