Sorry....... im not a scientist.....
The sealant is a man made chemical product as opposed to the wax which of course is a natural product....
purists prefer wax for its depth..... although it needs to be reapplied every 6-9 weeks(Although the collinite wax I mentioned I am told will last much longer)
I opted for the Nano which as I understand it forms a chemical bond/shield over the paint ...as i want strength longevity and durability.... frankly the shine is awsome and quite glossy....only just finished applying it today..... should last up to a year...
It took quite a lot of hard work prepping and applying but I believe it will protect the paint against worst the enviroment will throw at it...

Have a read up on detailingworld.com it will explain in greater detail if you need
