Hey RLD, A bit off topic but just had a look at you gallery Thumbs Up Isn't that pic of your D3 outside a house at Balmoral taken at the Queen Mum's old lodge on the Shores of Loch Muick? How'd you get vehicular access to that then? Whistle Walked through the grounds many times, even met Charlie & Camilla outside it once, but never been able to get the RRS up there due to locked gates at end of road. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Mine is not a space saver in the normal fashion and it does have a 20inch tyre fitted, just black alloy with yellow sticker on it.

Send him a question and ask him if he can get another, tell him you need two for a heavy duty trailer you are making Laughing see what his reply is then make your own mind up, ask if you can view the wheel before you bid, find out where he lives, if you still think its yours, i don't know how you will tell Confused then make your decision what action you take next, but don't go in your RRS.

I would report it to the police anyway, if they find a shed of spacesavers and other easily nicked stuff then who knows you might get something out of it as well as the guy getting done for reset

Hi Mike,

Here is a priceless idea:

It is a gamble, because it can cost you 80 gbp, but what if you can lock him up for christmas at that price.

You can let a friend (so you have no actual contact with the wheel) buy the wheel and bring it directly to the police.
There you can ask them to do a search for YOUR finger prints, since you expect the wheel was yours from the begining.
Perhaps the police will follow you in this.....

Good luck with this Thumbs Up SW

Sometimes it is not enough to do our best;
sometimes we must do what is required.

I understand where your going with the " kinda seems strange there there is a wheel on ebay" thing and its completely possible that someone 60 miles away had either been at the Trafford Centre or managed to obtain the wheel from someone who was. However even if it is your wheel, assuming it didn't have any unique identifiers and given that LR must have made Tens of thousands of these wheels its surely a very remote chance of proving that its your wheel.

The face of the wheel looks washed and its probably been strapped to the underside of your RRS for most of the year id suggest any "forensic" identification from the last time used would prove impossible.

I'm sure I would have feelings similar to yourself had my spare been nicked so i can understand you actions but proving it will be difficult if not impossible. I'd offer him £50 and forget about it as I would be surprised if the police will go anywhere with it mate.
