United States 2009 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Santorini Black
Front rotors warped

My 2009 sport needed new rotors 2 months ago. The steering wheel would shake at 55 mph when i touched the brakes and I knew it was the rotors. To the dealer for new rotors and pads and now after a few hundred miles , the steering wheel is wobbling again when i touch the brakes. Had the wheels rotated and balanced yesterday but didn't affect the braking problem.
I live in a small town so mostly stop and go, but 2 months?? Could it be anything else?? Thx! Mike mike murphy

I had this a couple of years ago.
I changed the rotors and pads for the MOT (I used non-standard rotors and pads), and 1500 miles later, I got vibration through the steering wheel when braking.
I changed the rotors again, and 1500 miles later the braking vibration came back.
As a last resort, I swapped the pads to original Brembo pads, and from then on, the vibration started too reduce.
2,000 miles later, the braking is as smooth as when it was new.
So, as unlikely as it sounds, it was actually the cheap pads that was causing mine.
Hope this helps.
Bob.
