Is there a way to set the lowered Access Height to automatically lower when you stop the engine?

I'm ok but my misses is a dinky little thing and would really help? 2011 MY btw  2017 MY - Dynamic, same again!

2016 MY - Dynamic - same spec again all round, engine a noticeable improvement

2015 HSE Dynamic - same spec as the last plus Meridian, Full Size Spare & InControl Apps

HSE Dynamic 2014:
Ebony / Lunar, Heated Mirrors, Privacy Glass, Heated Steering Wheel, Red Callipers, Interior Mood Lighting, Ebony Headlining, Panoramic Roof, Electric Towbar, Centre Console Fridge.

Previously: 2011 RRS, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Audi S5 Cab, RRS, Audi S4 Cab.

Would be a good feature, but I don't believe there is.

they valves are electronic so they need the ignition to be on in order to exhaust the air to lower the vehicle.

Of course they could be wired up differently but the ECU would still need to operate in order to utilise the fail safes such as open doors etc

On the MY11 model access height can be selected up to 40 seconds after switching ignition off providing the driver's door has not been opened.

^^^ Yes, on mine, as long as the doors are not opened it can be lowered or raised within a certain timeframe after switching off.
I have got into the habit of pressing the down arrow as I slow down to park. That way, the car is pretty much lowered before or just a little after I switch off the engine. I do like the idea though of having a menu set option that is your prefered parking height  ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

My other half is also very petite. So i fitted side steps and she is well pleased in fact so am I as it make getting in and out so much easier and they also look good.

I had a RRS demonstrator with side steps and found they made it awkward getting in and out

I use access height and found they were close to floor height, too narrow and with the low roof height I ended up stepping over them and kept getting mud on my trousers

Had side steps on my last disco and they were perfect with the high roof line - used to stand on the step then slide in to seat no problem - before the steps I used to get mud off cills on my trousers

I also found steps perfect for FFRR too - just not the sport IMHO  Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Best select access height before you stop as the wheels splay out when lowered. 

I agree, this would be a useful feature! Dread to think how many air compressor failures there would be if people actually used the height settings often though

I use the access height at least once a day, compressor still ok.

The lack of automatic function is just safety/CYA reason. '08 RRS TDV8

I agree, this should be human decision every time you park the car due to safety.

you can already lower the car whilst approching the parking spot if you want.

Access also puts the car to sleep so it will conserve battery life for cars left for long periods  Visitor from fullfatrr.com
