Trade in

Got back to the uk on Friday so went to my local LR dealer and was offerd 15k trade in for my 2005 sport it does have 89k on the clock but I was expecting a little more than that what do you guys think? I got offered more from webuyanycar.com

It's a 2.7 HSE, java black
Ivory leather
Sunroof
Sidesteps
Etc etc

Pretty much trading it in for the same sport but a 2008.

Going to check a couple of different dealers this week aswell hopefully find what I want before Xmas.

I'm guessing that webuyanycar hadn't actually seen the car though? My limited experience of them (via friends) is that when they see the car it's bit off the price here, bit off the price there for this and that.

You end up with nothing like the initial offer, which is designed to get you down for inspection at which point they hope you'll take what they offer having traipsed all the way there Have i got the busted controller?!?!!?

Apparently they work off a commision base for every pound they drop from the original price quoted..... one to avoid at all costs! 2005 Rang Rover Supercharged

they are Censored , avoid unless you are uber desperate to sell as you are on the run for murder......

i took my misses golf in (god bless her sole, i honestly didnt see her on the drive your honour Whistle )

anyway after dicking about we had an offer 400 quid less than quoted, no big shakes, until we went to take it in and the guy said the computer had the wrong make and it was now 2k less.........

he turned out to be the second person to get run over that week Whistle

anyway sold it to a dealer at the right money.

My points exactly gentlemen, they are most definitely not a charity organisation Exclamation

How else could they afford such a massive, incredibly expensive marketing campaign Question including the stock elderly couple who just sold their car "risk free" (loving the preying on the vulnerable groups action) Laughing Have i got the busted controller?!?!!?

Assuming its a 55 Plate the glass guide books it at 15,725 Trade 18,725 retail, cap clean is a few hundred more than glass trade. 15k is a fairly decent offer from a dealer to be fair as they won't retail your car rather pass it on to a trader or push it through the auctions.

Low priced RRS are doing pretty well at the moment, stick it on the auto trader , piston heads or ebay cheap and I'm sure ull get it sold quick enough. If your struggling an looking for quick cash prior to a part ex i could do a Little bit better than 15k Thumbs Up

avoid webuyanycar at all costs, they simply buy cars at under trade and sell them at auction for a profit under another name, my local auction house do all their scottish stock.
