Does anyone know if the diagnostic computer that Land Rover uses to find faults/problems in the electrical system specific to Range Rovers, or is there a universal diagnostic computer that can do the same thing. Reason. I have had an on going problem for 10 months with my auto lights. 1st they wouldn't come on at dusk and now after 4 trips to dealer (6 hours both ways) they are on 24/7. They also programmed my day time running lights so they are on as well. Lights are on in all 4 positions 24/7. Side repeaters are not on at all. Thx! Mike mike murphy

Faultmate do a couple of units that will trace faults from most, if not all the modules. Hawkeye do a handheld unit, but only for pre-2010 cars.

There are a huge number of diagnostic systems

The best none land rover, professional one, is autologic. but then snapon and others do mutli-brand ones, there is the t4 platform for certain ages, faultmate which has a wide range of capabilities...but is more domestic, hawkeye the list goes on. Mike

As its a 2009 and still under warranty so I think I will try and make a run to the dealer again. Its only 300 miles round trip and I could use a road trip. The problem is our Range Rover dealer is relatively new and they are kind of learning as they go....at my expense!! Mike mike murphy
