Sorry for sounding thick but how do they remove the spare wheel while its bolted on under your car?

Cut the cable I expect, the wheel isn't bolted on. Ex-G4 Challenge RRS HSE, BV55 YZE. Subtle shade of orange ! Now registered YZE481 G4RRS in Melbourne. |

I've got one on my D3, They stop thieveing toe-rags getting to the cable.

It's the same as when you fit a spare wheel, only instead of the end of the cable only going through the wheel, it also goes through the raised part of the protector, whic then gets winched up inside the wheel and stops anyone getting to the cable at all. Very simple to fit. Bodsys Brake Bible
