Just Been Chipped

Hi Guys
Called in to my LR dealer today for a chat and was told Stratstone have what they call a 40 BHP enhancement kit for the RRS for £799 including vat, so as the better half was not with me I had them do it while I waited. I am off north in the morning so will report back on results, have been promised more go and better mpg and most important NO warranty concerns Michael

Interesting. I wonder if LR know that their dealers are doing this? Matt

Didn't Chris from TC say that he used to do a lot of work for Stratstones? I remember this being his "is it safe?" argument.

If for an extra £100 it gives you peace of mind re warranty issues, that to me is a worthwhile investment! Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

Turbochip quoted me a lot more to do my car and as you say I don't have to worry about the ecu being put back by dealer to original or warranty Michael

I'm surprised at LR approving engine mapping mods. Are you sure that this isn't something dealer is selling as an aftermarket dealer fit? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

This will be an aftermarket but as long as you have it in writing that the dealer approved and indeed fitted it, then you have a come back.

This may not stand firm with LR though and you could end up in a tussle with the dealer should anything go wrong. Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Cairns Blue

Statstone are indeed installing the Turbochip at all their dealerships nationwide!

But we charge £599 + vat direct to 'Jo Public' Wink

Their retail price is definately higher then dealing direct with us.....we are waiting to see LR's reaction to this 'dealer' option given that well over 100 vehicles have been upgraded in-house at Statstone Rolling Eyes Chips with everything
