2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

F'ing useless f'ing accesories...

So, I'm ready to jack up the car to swap the wheels over as I'm having my winter wheels returned this week and after loosening one of the wheel nuts a tad, the fricking wheel brace snapped.. What a load of complete b0!!0ks. 2nd time I've used it.. Bet it's not covered under the extended warranty.

Anyone ever experienced this before?

When I bought my RRS the wheel brace was already snapped.

I thought about a warranty claim but a brand new one was £6 something so I just bought a new one. Cheap replacement but now I don't have much faith in it!

2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Ipanema Sand

Wheel brace on my 2008TDV8 snapped first time i used it. Haven't even bothered with my 2010 car, just brought a proper bar, deep socket, and also bottle jack. All fits real nice in front of battery. Don't have to unload the car to use the jack (though you need gloves as items get hot). If I can work out how to get photos small enough will take some and post SWMBO owns this car I get to drive occasionally

Does anyone know the size socket I need for the wheel nuts? Is it 27mm?

My socket set doesn't go up that high so need to get a new socket from Halfrauds.. will also get a replacement LR part (made from cheese!) so I can still change in an emergency on the road..

22mm. Bin the LR piece of junk wheel wrench and get one of these:

Thanks.... will get that right away! I've ordered another wrench (the one made from cheese) from LR so my boot kit is full and i'll keep this one in there too..

I bought a full set of new locking wheel nuts and wheel nuts, took all the old ones off and put the new ones on loose with the wheel brace, and i had a torque wrench ready to tighten them, on my last nut the rubbish landrober brace broke, knackering my new locking wheel nut, had to go to dynomec to have it removed. Should have health warning on the wheel brace (do not use for legal purposes only)

I bought one of those and it worked a treat removing summer wheels. Winter wheels put on with a decent torque wrench and not one has fallen off yet.
