I need a new key for my 2008 Range Rover Sport. Does anyone know as a matter of fact if I buy a second hand one, say from Ebay, can the blade be replaced and recut and the key reprogrammed so it works 100%?

My dealer said no it cannot be done.... back to factory to be laser cut... RRS gone

I know I can get the blade laser cut, but can the key be reprogrammed? Anyone done this?

With the current keys, once programmed (or paired, if you prefer) to a car, it cannot be used with another one. People have tried with all LR systems (IDS, Autologic etc) and not succeeded.
