Flat Battery - warning

Yesterday it happened again - miles from anywhere in a field in the dark.... This time the LR Assist chap (amazing service by the way, he was with me in 1 hour) told me it was because I had left the car unlocked for an hour or two. It drains the battery as the car stays 'live'. Telling all incase anyone didnt know. Lesson learned - until I forget again...... Confused
