2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
EASControl now installed

Well I plumped for the EASControl by GAP Diagnostics of Canada last week and it arrived in the post today.

An email later (to unlock it) and I've plugged it in the car and reduced the ride by 25mm

Took it for a short blast and yes it's slightly harder but certainly not uncomfortable and looks way better in standard ride height so no more playing with access height for me (even though it looks like it's draggin it's ass in access now Very Happy).

Cheers Patrick for all your help. RRS gone

Do you have a link to this product? Is it just a tool which lets you lower your vehicle as standard? Would it work on the MY2012?

Iirc they are developing a 2012 one as we speak

Too add:

I took the car for a 10 mile b road blast tonight and wow its superb! Feels more composed with the lower height and less bounce over bumps keeps it planted. RRS gone

Cheers awd man, glad your happy.

Just checking because you say 'installed' - you are using the EASControl and unplugging it again, right? There is no need to leave it plugged in and it shouldn't be!

Whealy, the link awd man supplied is the best we have for now (and here of course http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic23630.html). The website will be up shortly... hopefully... Rolling Eyes

Received mine yest erday
Absolutely excellent bit of kit. How does one inert looking little box, do such wonders?
Really easy to use, and an activation code within 10 minutes. Bow down Bow down
Well done Gap diagnostics.
Wife has bought me it for my birthday, which isn't till Wednesday. So had a quick play before it was confiscated.
Managed to read and clear all faults though. Now have to wait for a propper play

Thumbs Up

I'm finding that access mode is producing a "car in extended mode" error then it re-levels back up to normal height again (-25mm of course)

Not really bothered as there is no need to use access now anyway... but is it because I've reached the bump stops? RRS gone

shepp, that got a chuckle out of me. Good wife! Mine would do the same.

awd man, the RR is sensing the bump stops and thinks it's been grounded, so it goes into extended mode.

Here's a copy n paste of Christian explaining the maximum height changes the EAS will allow:

The EAS ecu accepts only a range of values (between 150 and 250). This is a range of near 100mm.
The actual limit of lowering and raising depends on the actual calibration.
For example, and to remain "not too technical", here are the limits for my RRS and RR2007 from the original calibration.

RRS 2008 - Lowering max -35mm, raising max +33mm. Lowering max -18mm to keep an access mode higher than the bump stop.
RR 2007 - Lowering max -22mm, raising max +22mm.

The RRS height sensor positions are more comparable between the front and the rear than on the RR 2006-2009. It's why the range is higher.
If these ranges are not enough, you can also combine links with the EASControl or IIDTool to offset your range of value more where you want it.
On the RRS, if I lower more than 18mm, the bump stop are reach when I go to access mode and therefore the EAS ecu detects a grounding and activates the extended mode.
So, you have the choice of going lower and forget the use of the access mode or stay a little bit higher on normal and get an access mode near the bump.
I intend to correct this by modifying individual height of each mode as was discussed.

What Christian is referring to in the last sentence is that we plan to have one of the next FW updates allow the units to change each height setting individually - e.g. standard -10mm, motorway -20mm, off road +20mm. At present this is only poss in the early L322 (02-05).
