Just bought a 2012 Sport and seem to be having an issue with the brakes. Doesn't happen all the time, but have had a few instances when the brakes worked VERY sluggishly. So much so that I couldn't stop the car before going past where I wanted to stop. Brakes pedal was very stiff, not soft when this occurred. I found a thread of similar problems on a Land Rover chat site, but all seemed to have occurred 3 to 4 years ago. Has anyone experienced anything similar on the 2011 or 2012 Sport.

Soft would imply air in system = bleed

Stuff would imply vacuum leak to power assist / servo or problems with electric pas - definetely something to get checked by lr specialist before you drive much more !

How does brake pad wear look and is rotor scored/ridged or relatively smooth ?

Any warning lights ? Get faults read from computer.
