Never heard of them coming on when cornering on D3 or D4, I had a D3 and never had them on the car so can't comment further on that.

Not too sure of the later models but in the older ones, at speeds below 40 km/h (25 mph) and if the headlamps are on, the cornering lamps will switch on on the relevant side of the vehicle when the steering wheel is turned about 40 degrees and/or if the relevant direction indicators are used. Malaysia Boleh!

Thanks for that guys. It seems as though l/r have changed the settings between my 09 model and the 11 model. Shame but I suppose that's progress.

So sorry for these repeat messages, I don't know why they are being repeated, so I'll not reply any more until I know what the problem is,

Hopefully a single post this time. Does anyone know if they can be re programmed to come on independently of the turn indicators, as on the earlier models?

The cornering lights on my 2008 TDV8, which did not have active headlights, only came on with indicator and at speeds below 25mph. The cornering lights on my 2010 TDV8, which does have active headlights, come on without the indicators at speeds below 25mph when turning a fairly sharp corner. It seems they are programed in with the active headlamp system as an assist at low speeds/sharp turns. SWMBO owns this car I get to drive occasionally |
