...actually it's a no-brainer Razz

believe me the TDV8 3.6 must one of the best diesel engines ever produced and suits the RRS incredibly well Thumbs Up Thumbs Up A couple of months ago I have added a conservative remap bringing it up to something like 315 bhp and north of 700nm torque and the power reserves are almost frightening Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I have owned tons of cars of many different brands of the years and for me this is the best car I've ever owned, period Bow down Bow down Bow down SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE BUG AND SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE WINDSHIELD

England 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black

I took the 2.4 XC90 out today (which I don't use very often) and i could not believe how gutless it seemed next to my new TDV8 (when i say new i mean new to me).

The TDV8 is just fantastic IMO, and as for there's no difference up to 60 except the soundtrack, that IS the difference Thumbs Up Have i got the busted controller?!?!!?

IMO the TDV8 is the better engine. I sold my previous RRS TDV8 for the 2010 model (3.0l V6) and am now looking for a used TDV8 to replace it. I find the V6 has uneven power delivery and although quick off the mark it runs out of steam unlike the V8; fuel consumption is little better (V8 28mpg, V6 31-32mpg but no improvement in range at all) so overall the V6 has been a disappointment for me.
Fortunately there seems to be a good selection of 2010 model V8's around! Hope to find one very soon.

With mpg figures as high as that i can't see why you need the V8 again Shocked Your obviously not using your right foot enough Laughing But the sound track is much better though on the V8 Thumbs Up

maybe i'm just getting old Crying or Very sad !

I just like having the power available even if i don't use it all the time; i feel that LR have diminished the RRS somewhat by not offering the V8 - and I can't afford the Supercharged Big Cry !

Ive a TDV8 on a 08 and drove all models before buying yeah the TDV8 rrs's are more money more money to run a tad, but as the old saying goes " there is no replacement for displacement" so the V8 Wins for me and the sound track well rev them up side by side then your decision will be amde for you their and then...

Or am i just a petrol/doozel head Laughing Live life to the full its the only one your getting.

I had a MY10 TDV8 and fitted a chip express box which added just that little bit extra ooomph when required...the 3.6 is a terrific engine no doubt about it but I now have a 4.4 TDV8 FFRR which raises the bar so much higher (and if you remap it then its F Censored awesome), pity they couldn't just somehow fit that engine into the RRS then it would turn it into a serious X6 basher Twisted Evil !!!!!!!!!
