United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Thanks for all the advice - really appreciate it. I am heading tomorrow to the stealer to test drive the Sport SC (again) and Evoque Dynamic Coupe Si4 as well as I find it to be a fantastic loking car too...

Lespes after so much time spent in my current Sport I need a change, which is why the TDV8 needs to go...

Foxy, you also have history in BMWs - how would you compare them to LR?

Is there anyone who changed from a pre MY10 TDV8 to MY10 SC? And what are you opinion on these two cars?

Ok so the BMW is a diff kettle of fish I wouldnt even compare the X5 to the RRS. Firstly the insanely dull interior and secondly the dead idrive system.
Well having had the M3 (big thumbs up) and the M5 sports (even bigger thumbs up) I was disappointed with the way that BMW had approached their version of a 4X4. The X5 handled like a lame horse and it seemed to skip and dance on the road and dont get me started on the roll when the car cornered.
The x5 was ok,and just at that and would be an ok-ish car. But once you test drive the RRS you will slowly think... "why bother with the bmw".
I always think that both BMW and Audi have are both great brands to deal with and they have a product in their ranges for everyone. from the small tiny cars to the large executive cars, however if you are buying a specialist car with specialist needs i.e Off Roading... Then who would you go for the.... The brand that does nothing else but 4X4's (not counting the evoque 2wd and the FL 2wd).
Just buy wisely and with warranty... I couldnt sleep at night without the warranty.

Foxy !

I just returned from the dealer - test drove the Evoque and must say that eventough bit plastic-ish it is a fantastic car BUT if only had LR offered a bigger engine option Crying or Very sad The car with both diesel and petrol engines is certainly quick enough for its size but still not comparable to experience of the Sport TDV8 (not even talking about brachial power of the SC)

having to make an almost daily stop at the petrol station to fund my RS4's drinking habbit, i would go for the diesel if you are covering long distances.

Well, I'll agree Martin. You certainly have to be a little blasé about the fuel situation in the RRS if your going to be doing a few miles in it.

Unless you live in Venezuela at 2p a litre...
