I have the crappy 19" embarasing wheels on mine at the moment. With getting married this year i haven't had the time nor the money to upgrade. At first when i got my sport i was hooked on a set of 22" overfinch but after a bit of thought i think i'm just gonna go for a set of supercharge 20's ( the wife drives it sometimes ).

The question is do i bother putting my crappy 19's up for sale to make a bit of money back for the 20's?? What are they really gonna be worth?? They're not in that good shape i may add, a few curb scuffs round em but tyres are decent all round.

The 20's i'm after havent got to be mint either, not bothered if they're tatty as i'm going to have them sprayed. So if anyone's got some tatty 20's let me know.

It deoeneds how much you need the money to wether you sell them. would it not just be better sense to keep them as a set of winter tyres. Or at the very least a spare set.

And just a question, is the swmbo not capable of driving on 22"? i dont understand this point.

Even in a poor state you'll probably fetch £300+ for them, the 19's & 20's are a popular fitment to VW Transporter vans. I picked up a single 19" wheel yesterday from a chap converting Transporter panel vans into campers up near Bury, said he was always on the lookout for wheels in any state, he'd just have them refurbed. Both the vans he had at his house had LR wheels on them. Ex-G4 Challenge RRS HSE, BV55 YZE. Subtle shade of orange ! Now registered YZE481 G4RRS in Melbourne.

Foxy. I get what your saying about the spare set, and if i was going the Overfinch 22 route i think i would want to change them for the winter. I have had loads of BM's in the past, mostly M5's and have changed the wheels to aftermarket only to find when i want to sell the car people want it back to orriginal. This won't be the case with the RR so i will just have the standard one's taking up space in my now full to the brim garage with crap i'll never use as well.

Although i love the look of a RRS with decent 22's on, i kinda wanna go with the subtle look and was gonna get a set of supercharged rims and have em done in satin black. Although i trust the wife to be carefull with a nice set of 22's, she just wont love and care for them as much as i would lol.

If i can get £300 for them i would be happy to sell em and save the space. I love my cars but i'm just not that bad that i would want a set of winter wheels to save my standard 20's so my minds made up. The 19's are goin on fleebay.

If you go 22 and need a warranty fix on something like suspension LR won't entertain it, might be worth keeping a set of approved wheel just in case

Warranty isn't a problem as we own a garage that does servicing etc so all the work is done by me or a fella that works there. Suppose I'm lucky in that way saving the costs what the dealers charge. We actually changed a turbo on an 07 plate disco the other week in under a quarter of the time LR state, although they say the body has to be removed it can actually be done without.

Anyway that's another story.

If you wait a couple of months you'll sell them easily on eBay. Demand grows rapidly in the early days of Winter as people like me buy wheels for their winter tyres...  Gone: 10MY L320 RR Sport HSE, Ipanema Sand

sh*** work sites where my vehicle was designed to get me, so the over the top 20's - 22's
wouldn't stand a chance, but best deciding what people use there vehicles for before coming out with stupid statements, IMHO, Cheers
