MY2012 delivery date

I placed an order for MY2012 few months ago and the delivery was allocated for end of Oct 2011. It's now end of Sep and the dealer is still not able to advise the precise date when the car will be ready for collection. Anyone knows how long the production process takes? Do you think that end of Oct is still realistic since they have not even allocated the build date yet?

probably will arrive on time.

My dealer couldn't tell me until about 1 week before & even that was a "might do, might not", then suddenly got a call to say it had arrived.

I'm afraid you just have to be patient & hope for the best. Just keep asking every few weeks to make sure they keep you updated

I was given the build date the day I ordered it, which was about 3 months from ordering, it was built on that date, but took two weeks to be delivered up the road!

James,

Do you feel any improvement in acceleration due to the extra 10ps? Is the general driving experience any different comparing to the previous model?

Thnx

Jack

Deposit paid in early august and the dealer's october allocation was therefore brought forward. They phoned on Friday past to say it was built and that it was only a matter of time before the low loader turned up. Still no sign but hopefully they will get it tomorrow. Not sure if it will go into the showroom as it's all about evoque's at the moment.

It does fell more punchy, however I attributed this to the additional 2 gears giving more flexibility. The big difference for me (as I do lots of motorway miles) is that the 8th gear is very long meaning a much more releaxed cruising speed due to lower revs.

Do you actually notice that? Mines now up and running at 33.8mpg - what does the extra two give? Mike

Are many people finding that they are getting they MY2012 early? The expected delivery date into the dealer on mine is 26th October - I would love to have it sooner then that!

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Lux Orkney Grey

I collected my 2012 sport last friday from Lookers Bishop Stortford, it had been on order since late July, it arrived slightly earlier than they said and I have to say that I am over the moon with it. Road Tax wise, I guess I should have waited for the 1st October but I made the mistake of going to look at it and that was it I wanted it NOW Very Happy 12MY RRS Orkney Grey HSE Lux
