Most RRS's that have been converted have been in an accident & I think most people are wise to this so will not be prepared to pay more. However I'm not disagreeing with you Chris but playing devils advocate, the difference in price between the standard S and HSE is about 5-6k (used) so I think extras/modification do increase resale value.

Yeah i see where you are coming from but it is not the point i am making.

You cannot compare the S & HSE as the S did not even come with Leather as standard, no one would spec a S to the hilt would they...they would buy an SE or HSE etc. What i mean is you buy an HSE and add every conceivable extra to it, which ti be fair is not much left at the end, you do not add on 5k to the book price of your HSE, you just make your HSE more appealing to the buyer.

That just short of £4k and doesn't include a new design rear bumper Whistle and after all that you still have the dated interior, personally i wouldn't bother.

What's the cheapest autobiography conversion?

I really don't think there's any point just making it look standard... WINNER - 2009 Best in Class Range Rover Sport Award

see your point Adam,

however just for the autobio - your looking at the double the price Embarassed - If your then spending additional 5K for the autobiography you may as save up for the new shape RRS, its just the scales of economics then to consider.

what you think......???

I simply can't see the point in spending all that money for the car to look bog standard!

If I had 2.5k to blow on the car - I'd rather have a really special and classy looking 2005-2009 model than a standard 2010 model.

It depends what you're in it for I suppose.

If it was me, I'd do the full autobiography kit and get my car wrapped in ice white! 5k isn't gonna buy you a new model sadly...

My cars now done 55k so I'll probably chop it in next year otherwise I'd be doing this. Can't say I haven't toy'd with the idea tho! WINNER - 2009 Best in Class Range Rover Sport Award

Hello - I just wanted to let you guys know I bought a upgraded S/C V8 (Autobiography 2010 spec) and was very happy with it.

I could not afford the £40k plus that i would have needed for a real 2010 so went for the next best thing.

If you check out my pictures you will see it there.

I think the main thing as with all things, if you are happy with it, than thats the main thing as its your hard earnt cash that is being spent and no one elses!

If anyone has converted i'd love to see some pics!

the only problem is that a lot of companys use spurious parts and not genuine LR parts.

how do i know this?

simple....

the price of 2 headlights for LR is around £1200 depending if you have adaptive lighting on your existing car. if you have its more expensive.

that plus the bumper, then the Parking sensors (2010 have a different size sensor) wings nearly £250 each and the side vents comes to near on that price without any labour or paint... and believe me it isnt a straight forward job.

you get what you pay for.

this is one i did for a customer of mine using genuine LR parts
