I'm new to jet washing cars as I've always washed by hand (simple bucket and sponge), but have purchased a Karcher pressure jet washer with built in 1 litre detergent dispenser for shampoo and a vario lance which allows me to mix the shampoo with the water.

You need the special head, to create the "foam" you need to use a LOT of the product compared to what the standard bottle uses. |

I have noticed that as well - whenever I jetwash off the car, I still need to go over it with a sponge to get rid of some of the more stubborn marks, which is why I thought that by purchasing a foamer might, just might, save me the hassle. The Karcher foamer does have an adjustable nozzle to limit the amount of shampoo used and a 0.6l reservoir so I guess it would be better than the standard 0.3l one. 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE |

I have a polished bliss snow foam kit and use meguirs hyperwash as recommended by polished bliss- it does remove a good deal of traffic film but it does not remove the need for a hand wash. 2011 MY- RRS HSE - Zermatt -Ebony-Piano .... its a monochrome world

Snow foaming is not meant to replace hand washing, it is for removing any dirt and grit first so reducing the chance of scratches when hand washing the built-up grim film off.

I snow foam and leave it to sit for a while then before I wash off, use a microfibre washing cloth. Rinse it off then snow foam again.

Ok so I'll admit to using a microfibre cloth when washing, but it's Fairy liquid all the way for me ! 08 2.7 RRS "S"
