unless they display the british standard mark, and manafacturer details, including post code they are illegal. |

Not strictly incorrect, but also not correct either. Demon will put the manufacturer and postcode on them top left small font so cant see it other than up close - leaving the rest of the plate "free" Text fine and spacing Mike 2014 Facelift Discovery |

I prefer the first option, remember that whoever does your plates has to put their name and post code on, it pains me to say, but halfords do theirs with the name in a hologram , so it us almost invisible until you are close
