Dazza's Range Rover Sport - Detailed

Hi Guys,

I have been so busy recently I haven't had a chance to put up any of the pictures of Dazza's RRS detail.

Dazza contacted me recently to get his RRS detailed that he had recently purchased.

The car wasn't in too bad a condition, just the normal swirling and marring marks from washing it.

Due to Dazza's time constraints we only had one day in which to detail the RR so it was agreed we would focus on the paint and leave the interior for another time. Dazza also offered to help. I would not try and detail a RRS or any SUV in one day as I would not want to compromise the finish and the standard of our work by rushing.

Anyway! Dazza arrived bright and breezy on a Tuesday morning. We set to work firstly snow foaming the vehicle.

Once this was done, I went around and took some photos of the paint to show the swirling.

If you look into the light source you will see the swirling.

In this photo you can see the marring marks which are on the right hand side, they can be inflicted into the paint by using shammy leathers or drying towels and rubbing them across the panels a bit too hard.

More Swirling.

The next two photos show the left side which is unpolished and swirled compared to the right side which has been polished.

The boot edge was particurly bad we reduced the scratching made it look better.

The vehicle was polished using a combination of pads and Scholl Concepts polishes and Menzerna polishes.

The passenger side polished.

And drivers side.

After this time was ticking on so we didn't get too much time to take more photos Sad

You can see the difference in the polished an unpolished in this picture. I had only picked my sport up four days before so haven't had a chance to work on it. It almost looks grey compared to Daz's !!

We then applied 3 coats of Zaino Z-2 and followed it with a coat of Zaino Z-8. Tyres had Zaino Z-16 applied twice 20 minutes apart and the plastics had 303 Aerospace protectant applied.

A few "Zaino'd" pictures!

Dazza trying to get out of the picture..! Not realising he is on the reflection shot LOL

Hope you enjoyed and apologies for the amount of pictures (and any duplicates!)

Johnnyopolis.

Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Mr. Green

A lot of detailers don't bother as it's hard to get a machine onto it.....a lot of roofs need the work, but it's not easy

Cheers John and all Thumbs Up

Yep a good day spent on the old girl, and looked amazing at the end of the day, drunk plenty of tea, and had a crack whilst helping him out too Very Happy

Car was OK to start with, but really needed to be taken to the next level, and more importantly have some quality protection for the coming winter months, with the salt and crap that it will encounter during that period.

Also come away with some good products to help me maintain it during the winter, and it also has the advantage of making cleaning it easier once a detail has been done.

Popped on X5PEA 's clear 09 lights now, so im trying to not spend anymore money on her Laughing RRS S/C, Factory Fitted Full HST kit, 22" Overfinch SS, Carbon Vents & Grill .. - FOR SALE - PM me for details
