the one and only time i have used chips away it needed to have the panel redone

The problem with them is that they go on a "X"days training course in smart painting and such like and come out with a piece of paper saying they are qualified to work on your car, Chips away sell them a franchise and walk away with £££ in the bank

Personally i would look towards a company that specialises in this sort of thing, I found a apprentice trained repairer who set up mobile who did work on my car thats is perfect

I know i haven't had a wheel done by them, but my view is if they can't do it right on a door then what chance have they with a wheel

I like tarring them all with the same brush Laughing

Thanks all for the advice, unfortunately I’ve already booked Chips Away to do a couple of small scratch repairs, however I’ve heard good things about this particular person.

Not had wheels refurbished for a long time and the company i used before don’t seem to exist anymore, prices seem to differ from £45 to £90 per wheel, remember paying around £45 last time and being really pleased with the job so not entirely sure tat the more you pay the better you get!? Range Rover Sport HSE and for a bit of weekend fun a S1 Lotus Elise with a few track biased additions!

Ask your local dealer who they use.
Was in today for a photocopy, and noticed a 'wheel van' out the back. Guy had all the gear and was refurbing
wheels. Amazing job. Almost asked him for his number. Dealer would give me it though if I need it in the
future.

When I bought mine from the dealer I took out the tyre & wheel insurance. Claimed on the insurance last week for 2 wheels and they sent out a company called Revive who did an excellent job.
