and i would say it is a great wee car! the ride with the magna thingy is probably almost as good as air suspention, and ten times better that my mates freelander! the panoramic glass is a must , as when you close the shade back it is very dark in the back. loads of room up front and decent enough in back for 6' plus, only downside is the boot space, which is about the same floor area as a freelander but lacks the hight. the quality of the dash is pretty good and makes my 2010 rrs look so dated! i even quite like the rotating knob instead of a gearstick!

The original date was 8th September, which became 26th September for a while and then it was in Lookers compound on the 6th, delivered to me on the 9th.

I to have driven the new Evoque. I have the privilege that my father works for them. The compound had 100's in the other week so took one for a short spin.

If the qashqui drives like an evoque , then I have obviously been wasting my money on lardrover products To be honest I wouldnt buy one yet either, I like my 4x4s to be big and macho, and I also have to ferry kids and various junk around, my business partner is looking into getting one, but only because he does 500 miles a week. I've had my time with big thirsty SUV's now and need to have a car I can leave in my garage rather than on the drive. Evoque came along at the right time and Audi lost a sale of an A6 AllRoad to the Evoque. I already had a deposit down on one when I bought the FFRR from James in August last year.

Well we have had our run out in Tim's Evoque and a very pleasent run it was too. It gives a smooth ride and is quite quick too, the cockpit is full of gadjets but is uncluttered with it, it is restraind and minamalist especially when you compare it with my 2008 RRS with it's miriad of buttons and switches. One neat touch is the pool lights that shine down from the door mirrors they have a stylised drawing of the Evoque embedded in it.

Had a run in a prestige yesterday. Must say a little disapointed, thought it drove ok but imho a little to much like my wifes Freelander. Interior worlds apart. One thing i must say is it aint no Range Rover |

I went thinking it would be like the freelander too, but I was surprised! The 190hp engine pulled strongly and was not as harsh sounding as the freelander , if our company gets one it would be replacing a freely hse, as much as I like the freelander, the evoque is IMHO is light years ahead . I would go as far as saying the dash is way smarter than my facelifted 2010 RRS! Cheers Dave MY10 TDV6 SE (debadged ), Santorini Black, Flappy paddles, Privacy Glass, 20" Stormers, Mudflaps!
