Hi there Range Rover Owners,

Me and my wife have been looking into buying a Range Rover Sport for a while now, im looking for a diesel one, either a 2.7 or a 3.6??
Which would be the better and what specs are best as i see various advertised, im looking at the £25k budget with 40k on the clock.

Whats the things to look out for when inspecting these cars?
Im aware that they are a tad more expensive to run and tax, i currently own a 2008 Rav4 t180.

Good to see another potential owner from Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire.

The view on here seems to be to go TDV8 prior to facelift and this would be in HSE trim.

Dunnecht 4x4 have both 2.7 and TDV8 in at the moment perhaps a trip out and you can compare and contrast. 2011 MY- RRS HSE - Zermatt -Ebony-Piano .... its a monochrome world

without in anyway trying to rubbish the 2.7, cos imo its still a great car i have just bought my first RRS and its a TDV8 and im head over heels with it.

ok so you lose a little in MPG but I suspect none of us are really buying these motors to be economical and that little loss is more than replaced every time you listen to it growl  Have i got the busted controller?!?!!?

Will look up at Dunnecht when im home, the black one up there looks well smart and ticks all the boxes. I have been trying to find one with built in tvs in the rear headrests as i have two kids and already have this on my car at present but they are all down south. Think id prefer to buy locally for peace of mind.

Yes its a good move going for the screens.(and the TDV8)

You then have the option of play stations etc

The rear entertainment is however fairly rare but you can get retro fit on the 'bay'
