Ipod doc not compatible with Iphone4? MY1O RRS HSE

Guys, sure one of you will have the answer here.

Had the vehicle from new last year but just upgraded to an Iphone4.

Big surprise, when plugging into centre lead to charge and getting the message on the phone, Question Question to the effect that the connection is not optimized for phone and it will suffer interferance and noise. Question

Anyone else had this, apart from a separate lead from the cigar lighter is there a fix?

Grateful of help. Retro

does it sufferbthe problems? is the error on the phone or car?

if the phone it should be ok, only "made for apple" type devices will work, if its not certified then the phone errors, no problem though in most cases they work fine

It should be fine, every car I've had pops up some sort of warning!

I've got MY2011 also with the same lead you speak of and I get the same message every time I plug in my iPhone 4. Just acknowledge it and ignore. iPhone works just fine, as iPod, phone etc. MY2014 RRS Autobiography in Corris Grey, Black contrast roof and Cirrus interior, adaptive lights and side steps.

Gone - 2011 RRS HSE TDV6 Baltic Blue, Ivory/Ebony contrast stitching, Side steps, paddles, iPod/IPhone lead (works just fine with iPhone4), Adaptive lights

Thanks for your posts.

Gents,

Really appreciate your knowledge here, indeed it works fine, or seems to with no problems, I wonder if there is any software available to disable the error message though, it's a bit annoying.

Be interested to see when your 1Phone4 can interface, pics and movies/utubes etc. to be directly displayed on the touch screen on RR dash (say by mini HDMI connection), just for the passengers pleasure, naturally of course.

Regards,

Retro Thumbs Up
