I read somewhere on this forum ( looked everywhere & can't find it ) that someone had experienced a loose fitting rear numberplate light. Well me too. This morning when I closed the tailgate out popped the nearside (left) light - fitting So I popped it back in.... and shut again... out it popped again . It needs replacing/fixing , at the moment I have temporarily fixed it by sticking a small amount of elephant tape to side of light fitting itself (to pad it out) then pushed it back into housing. Lets see how long it stays there.......?

Yep this happened to mine, and someone else i know. My dealer fixed it when it was in for some remedial work for something else, said nothing about it and it hasn't done it again since.

I'd like to see the tailgate auto-close like various other marques. It's a pity you can spend upwards of 60k on a car and still have to slam it to ensure it's shut properly. Do the "big" Rangeys have auto-close?

Not had this one yet, but I did notice that my tow hitch blanking plate (red plastic plug thing) keeps falling out, luckily whilst in the garage, but it needs a damned hard shove to make it click into position.

That's right Tina it was me who's number plate light fell out and dealer said I must be slamming shut. However after finding out that this is happening to others I demanded a new one which they have just fitted free of charge so take it straight back to them, it's a fault. |

Following on from this ( update ) on the 17th I went in to get it fitted - but having hung around for 35mins they eventually tell me the part delivered is wrong! I have been chasing it up this week - without success - not happy - nearly a month to obtain a simple part ( cr*p ) So, I go over to there parts deparment - Thursday afternoon ( run separately ) to order something else ( new wiper blade to sort out squeaky one ) & this can be obtained next day? so I get thinking - can I order the Lamp as well? - " YES SIR " . So here I am today new wiperblade ( squeak sorted ) & more importantly new lamp! Stuff warranty ............. total cost for the 2 parts was £12.02 Service manager will get the bill & a few stern words!!!! Here endeth my plight " WITH MORE EXTRAS THAN A HOLLYWOOD EPIC " |
