I have a TDV8 HSE and it averages 25mpg around town. 26 on a run. The V8 diesel is epic, with a wonderful growl to it. Huge amount of torque.
Quite a few people from NI come over to buy vehicles here, as there's usually a bit more choice/competition.
From JE you should also get a 1 yrs manufacturers warranty as the original 3yr may be up now on that 08 plater.

By manufacturers Warranty i presume this means i could get warranty work done to it in NI or would it have to go back to JE?

A years warranty is the main reason i want to buy an 'approved used' Vehicle Smile

Right..

Ive found 2x Cars..

March '07 TDV6 HSE, Grey with Black.. 19" wheels.. 35,800 miles.. - £31,245 including 1 years warranty..

and

Mid 2008 TDV6 S model, Grey with Black, 20" stormers, side steps, 29k miles... Bluetooth, Ipod system, Privacy glass, Heated Seats, Tow bar... £26,400 including 1 years warranty...

I have to say im being swayed towards the cheaper 's' it has all the spec im actually after except Sat Nav which i understand isnt great anyway? and its a luxury but not something i use day to day.

Any opinions?

Anything i would miss on the S? I mean i presume it comes with all the same suspension settings etc? and the engine is exact same?

Thanks in advance.

Nav may not be an important option for you but i personally wouldn't consider a RRS without the navigation system, the S models aren't as sought after and pretty hard to sell on id expect, if resale is a consideration i would steer clear of the S model mate.

Im not 100% sure on the spec of an S model sorry I've never even seen one, pop into a LR dealers and I'm sure one of the sale staff will know. Thumbs Up

Well i went to look at the S model... it was a lovely motor.. 20" stormers.. side rails.. i really liked the look of the car..

Went i went to look at it it did have a few issues tho..

I was told it had Bluetooth.. it had a parrot system.. not the factory bluetooth system.

The seat had some tears on the side bolster - is this a common fault? The car only had 29k miles.

Ring marks on the Door and paint chipped on the door edge and a large scuff on the the front Passengers side of the front bumper..

The search continues.. but i have now decided that an S model Would do my trick.. I cant justify the £5k+ extra that the HSE's are making..

Stornaway Grey
Full Black Leather
20" wheels
Bluetooth Telephone
Tow Bar

Front fogs would be nice as would sat nav but not a priority.

Also are xenon lights standard on an S/SE model?

Thanks for everyones inputs and the PM's

Iain

Not heard of any one with tears in the seat. Bit worn maybe but would of been changed under warranty. The privacy glass looks to dark for factory as well. Not to well looked after too with all the marks. Stick to your guns and get the car that you'll be happy with. Good luck with search. Thumbs Up

Morning, I have the S and it is absolutely fine, you need optional leather, some 08 onwards come with sat nav, the only difference is soft leather, 17" wheels, no heated seats, no sat nav, no Xenons (i bought a set of genuine Xenons headlight units on ebay and changed them over easily), no foglights and a single CD. That said these are all options and you may find a car with these options on it. Good luck with your search Thumbs Up
