How to uninstall the OEM stereo

Hi all,

I have my 2006RRS for a few days and I want to replace the OEM stereo by an aftermarket model which will be able to connect my iPhone and my iPod.

I have made several searches but dit not found any element concerning the way to pop out the facia around the stereo and the stereo itself.

Is there anyone who had made photos of this or is able to help me?

Thank you

you can buy a adaption kit to make your oem radio compatible with the ipod/iphone alot less hassle than changing radio and cheaper Wink

or even quicker use the aux lead behind armrest press aux button

thanks for this answer.

In fact, I allready have bought the replacement stereo system which is Kenwood DNX 5280 BT. It makes the link with iPod, iPhone and have the GPS and DVD player.

My car don't have any of this.

My main question is how to uninstall the OEM sterea without damage. I suppose there is a specifi way to act! Méfie-toi du chat qui dort dans la tulipe !

Hello,

Thank you very much Bobby. I finally found the informations expected and it has really helped me. The unit is now out of it's place.

I now can see what I need to finalize the installation. I will have to order special connectors from the OEM cables of the car to the new unit.

Concerning the GPS, it is including in the new module double din. You only have to install the antenna on a horizontal place in the car. I chose to place it near the central speaker.

I will take photos.
