AWD man we operate all over the country and i understand your issue but wouldnt you rather have the opportunity to turn down the work rather than not know anything about it

Are we talking about trades where guys get dirty, or just desk jockeys and pen pushing jobs? I'm in if it's the former

I think Martin will have to comment on his feelings about this.

For a number of individuals to use his forum to promote their companies/trades/skills he will probably want to have monthly site donations as a minimum... he is acting as an agent you see, in bringing us together in the 1st place.

Here's how it goes, we have a completely different section on the forum open to all models of Land Rover, you post up what business you are in for exemple:

Commercial Flooring Contractors - Leedsunited
Legal Eagles - jimcar
Property Maintenance - billybob
M&E Consultants - garyd
Architects - mimi
Accountants - joebo

Do you get my drift, a place where all members can go to locate a trade or sector that they may be looking to put business, lets say Billy Big 's on FFR is having his new mansion built, he could ask a fellow RR lover to bid for the building works or architectural work or anything else related. Not to say that you will get the work but the introduction is a lot easier.

That's a good idea, anything that may increase business is to be welcomed.

Sounds like this Martin guy is going to have something to say though.

It happens now but not as structured or organised, as said earlier panda now has the opportunity to quote for some gates and fences, just think that we could tidy it up a bit. as said earlier these guy's started on a LinkedIn forum a couple of years ago in a similar way http://theyorkshiremafia.com/

Not to put a spanner in the works here because i think its a good idea, but just suppose billy big uses one of our forum members to do his billy big job on his mansion and is not completely satisfied with the quality of his work, will this forum then turn into a kahn type debate

ADY I am sugessting a meeting point, the area for this could have no ability to post comments and if the comment is attempted to be posted elsewhere it is policed or something, all early days but i am looking to you guy's for suggestions as much as agreemant.

There is also the other angle that you do a great job and ensure it is great because of the forum.

Play all over really with my golf when i can be bothered my fav course is Willow Valley just as its close and theres loads of parking, (apparently its bad form to park in the lady captains space and then point out my rrs is better than her toyota 10 yr old bag of s t....Hudds dont want me anymore)

We need an activity where we all get together. Its well over due.
