United Arab Emirates 2008 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Alaska White
You snooze you lose!

I popped into my local dealer yesterday to pick up the DA5555 load bay liner that I'd ordered from Britpart. Whilst I was there I noticed a stack of brand new 2010 rims and Cont-Sport tires sitting in the work shop.

A customer had complained of vibrations and had bought a brand new set of wheels and tires to remedy it..... it turns out that new wheels wan't the cure and needed to shift them quickly to get his money back. Since he was open to offers I offered 600 quid and to my delight he accepted via sms on the spot!

I wasn't looking for new rims but needed new rubber...now I have a brand new set of 2010 rims and tires all for the cost of two new tires.

Result!.

Pictures are on my gallery...in comparison to the Stormer rims I think they are pretty neat!

I love the load liner too...... perfect for throwing my scuba gear in the back of the car. The Britpart DA5555 still enables use of the tie down D-rings in the back as well. Something that the Land Rover item doesn't. Ra-Ro Sport Super Dooper Charged.

They are HSE Lux/Supercharged rims (in the UK), so a double result!

Whats the UK price of those rims then? I found the tires on line for 265 GBP each......as you said.... double chuffed!

I also now have a set of 20" Stormer Rims to sell so I should get a few hundred pounds for them too. Ra-Ro Sport Super Dooper Charged.

I take it you've moved back to UK now Joe?

I've done well in Dubai for Rubber and Rims. People might remember one of my first posts in here soon after I got my Sport.... The local Al Tayer Rover dealer actually gave me a brand new rim and decent 2nd hand tire for free when I drove over a spike in the road.

I get the feeling I'm spoilt by comparison to some horror stories on here! Ra-Ro Sport Super Dooper Charged.

I've been in Saudi and Dubai for the past 20 years and now live in Ajman where I run a printing company during the day. My other line is prototype automotive engineering & consulting with HRH Sheikh Hamad Hamdan Al Nahyan (The Rainbow Sheikh of Abu Dhabi ) on various projects such as the worlds first 8 wheel drive Nissan patrol that we'll test in Morroco in a few weeks and the 6 wheeled Patrol that was completed last year.

Motor sport is a huge passion for me here and I've been involved with the UAE Desert Challenge at all levels since 2001.... as competitor in T4 Trucks, T1 & T2 service, marshalling and as sweep team/course closing driver for the past five years. I'm also a medical car driver at YAS for the Formula 1, GP2 and Ozzie V8's etc...

You know what it's like out here Joe..... work hard play hard. Anything outdoor based from Scuba to rally driving. From Camping to clubbing.....!

Let me know when you're next in the country and I'll pop into town.

Regards.
