I get that all the time, I think its because I live in a zero coverage area and rely on the Voda Sure Signal.....it never picks up the signal and constantly requires a reboot when I enter the house, the £150 Nokia switches straight away, the £600 Apple doesn't !! I am talking about phone signal johnny not the wifi, if I switch the 3G off the phone call signal is 100% better. Strange I know and I was on the verge of getting rid of my iPhone then found something about it on google. Give it a try, switch off the 3G and give the phone about 3 or 4 mins and see if the phone signal bars improve. Worked for me, went from zero to full 5 bar signal 2017 Range Rover Sport Autobiography |

I get this all the time when I'm away from the UK - I was told it was because of static build-up on the SIM and to take the SIM out and wipe it with an anti static cloth - works OK but it can be frustrating when you've just arrived at an airport and all you can hear is everybody else's phone getting signals and all the iPhone users are busy staring at theirs and wondering if they will be able to get anything! The other thing to try is to switch it to airplane mode and back again. And turning off the 3g and data definitely helps 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

very ofter in poor signal areas it is due to 3g. on may ocasions turning 3g off fixes the problem of lost reception. there seems to be a problem when the phone autmatically switches between, 2g, 3g and places where there is no data transfer possible.
