I also got this product from these people it is a great product BUT I've had problems with the unit! After the install (half a day by auto electrician) the unit didn't work properly! I called these people who supplied it (hids4u) spoke with Dean who told me that their tech department was on Poland and he'd have to contact them and get back to me. After another 2 weeks of me calling him back he finally sent me another unit, which also didn't work, as it should've done. The camera part works fine and is a great bit of kit very impressive but the other features on the unit don't work i.e you have a toggle button that comes with the kit which is now on my dash (all wiring hidden at extra expense when installed) when pressed its supposed to allow you to see the camera images behind your car all the times (not just when you select reverse, this I think is a great feature) when pressed again also allows you to access any other inputs you have plugged in to the unit such as your Ipod or iphone which images from these device's should be displayed on the front Nav screen including all your songs, video’s internet TV etc. None of these features work apart from the camera! I called Dean at hids4u again and he said 'I'll have to talk to our Tech department in ...... you guessed it! in Poland and get back to you! Three weeks later he called to say that he was going to send another later unit out to me. That was 2 months ago and I haven't heard or received anything from him at all?? I’m happy with the camera I have to say as it works really well but very disappointed at the service and two units I received that don't work properly! To sum the unit up I would’ve got this just for the rear view camera as the other features to me are a bonus but if they are on there surely they should work or be replaced by a unit that dose work! Cheers Laurence. |

Mines worked perfectly from day one,tv tuner,i phone and card reader all plugged in and selectable via the remote or the toggle switch,I've only dealt with Ian though and he has always been very helpful re.the product.

What version of the unit did you get? I am looking to get one for my RRS SC, and connect one of the av outputs to the av inputs of the rear avio panel, so I can display on the rear screens.
