I've had an annoying vibration at 48mph which I've always put down to improper balancing on one of the fronts...anyway..finally got to KwikFit this morning to get them re-balanced...

Yeah I'm inclined to agree, these were going to get replaced with Toyo's when they were worn out anyway...( I inherited them with the 1st set of alloys). So it's just brought that day forward by a few months.... RRS gone

Sounds like it's perhaps an issue with the reinforcement of the tyre walls, which is required for the weight of the car. Maybe the cheaper tyres are not as well reinforced.

April 1st .... no....... Tyre spelling .........hmmmmm .......no Not sure I'd be looking in China for new tyres in the first place - no doubt much is produced there but Golden Happiness should be on a menu at best - not a tyre wall |

Endjin - Interesting point and some dealers will use this excuse when trying to get out of doing warranty work as i have experienced however the speed rating of the Hankook Ventus is still way above the legal speed limit allowed in the UK so i think the "wrong speed rating" would not stand up in dispute in the same way that the scare mongers tried to claim that you will invalidate your insurance by fitting winter tyres, insurance companies en mass dismissed this as . The Hankook Ventus is an all season tyre with a M&S mark. |
