RRS 2012 Options...

Hi,

i am Rene from Munich, Germany, a new member of this famous forum.

As is am awaiting my ordered RRS SDV6 HSE MY12, i often looking here whats new.

But for now i have news. In the new 2012 pricelist you can order the roof liner in ebony.
For me is this fantastic, as i love the dark clean interiour, and dont like the offwhite roof liners.

Best,
René

Rene my thoughts are the same, the dark roof lining is much better. Come to Frankfurt for the Motorshow next month and I am sure they will have the new model on show there

I'd pay it no problem, as it will make the cabin look really classy...even more classier!!

Still not decided on the rotary gear selector though.....the jury is out....

+1 Thumbs Up
I think with the dark roof lining and privacy glass the interior will be a bit too dark. just my own opinion.

I also think it would be too dark in the back with the roof light being at the front instead of the centre.
Other premium car manufacturers put two lights in the roof, one at the front and one at the rear complete with reading lights, even my 3 series BMW had that. The inside rear of the RRS is really dark as it is. 2010 Alaska white 3.6TDi v8, heated steering wheel, Ipod connection, Aribica extended leather, Digital TV, voice activation, privacy glass, Dynamic pack
Now gone - Jaguar XKR4.2 v8 Supercharged
Gone - 08 RRS TDI V8 Java Black, Privacy glass 315 BHP tunit box.
Still have - Merc C200 sport
Yahaha FZ1000
Gone - BMW X5 3.0d sport

@rabbutler - if you check out my posts or look in my gallery I put a post up earlier this year about a simple fix to get your rear reading lights to also come on as courtesy lights whilst retaing the reading light function.

Alternatively get a FFRR, they light up like a Christmas tree throughout the cabin Very Happy

Hi Simon, that does look like the dogs gonards but I dont feel comfortable messing around with the car electrics, butu I might drop by one of the Auto electrical bods here in Aberdeen and see if they can do anything for me. Not sure about the "simple fix" bit... for me a simple fix would be to go into the touch screen vehicle settings Sad L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
RRS TDV6 HSE Lux (MY2011)... Nara Bronze / Arabica - now gone!

I have a deposit down for one of the first 2012's (HSE) due in October but the dealer isn't able to provide any info on options! Even the official website hasnt been updated afaik. In particular there are meant to be new alloy options.where might I find this out before Its too late to make changes. Spec is based on 2011: Sumatra black, piano black, ivory with contrast, style 4 diamond turned, privacy, bluetooth and carpets. Thanks in advance

Is it true the 8 speed gearbox will not go in the supercharged? So it will be the power tailgate and a few different colours that will be the only difference. Or am I missing something? Thumbs Up
