Retrofitting Cameras

Does anyone know if you can easily retrofit the extra front bumper cameras to a 2011MY sport? Mike

I looked into fitting the surround camera system to a MY10 Sport and was told by a specialist that it is possible (as is anything given the time and money) but it would cost well over a thousand pounds!

Gave up on that idea so still looking for a car with it already fitted.

Not a lot of help I know but if you want specifics I can get back to him to find out. As for do it yourself I think the wiring might be a bit scary..... Shocked

If the cameras are £70 each (i saw several for that) and the cable isnt that much - then its either the unit to connect it to or the wiring time Mike

Looking at other posts, it seems that not many use all the cameras....I guess they were located on the options list under 'Gimmicks'....just under Flappy Paddles. Whistle

I have the surround cameras fitted to my MY11. I rarely use them, mainly due to the ridiculous amount of overlap and lack of peripheral vision of the front bumper cameras. Though they are very useful out in the bush. Now :3.0 TDV6, Stornoway grey, Premium Almond leather,Dynamic Pack , Paddle shifters, Rear Electronic Diff, Surround Camera System, Park Distance Control - Front, Tow Pack, 19 x 9" 5 V-Spoke wheels, Memory Pack, Cold Climate Pack, Carpet Mat Set, Roof rails, general Grabber ATs,

Ordered, due May 17 SDV6 Dynamic Loire Blue, Ivory, Drive Pro pack, Sliding roof, Heated seats and steering wheel, Surround cameras, Tow pack with Advanced Tow Assist, Meridian 825w sound,

I found the mirror cameras really useful in tight car parks - but that wasnt on mine - hence i wondered about fitting them Mike
