stereo and sat nav turn on for 3 seconds then turns back off

Hi all

I had a flat battery and got the AA man to come out and give my car a jump start.....but i noticed that once the car started the sat nav screen never came on and now when ever i tried turning on the stereo both the sat nav screen and stereo would briefy display for about 3 seconds then turn back off....

Any ideas

Ps the AA man said i needed a new battery as the one i have has low voltage, so i will pick one up tomorrow.
Could this be why its not turning on and is there a reset i can do?

cheers

hi sjf1

dodgy batteries cause all sorts of weird electrical gremlins

make sure your car is charging properly before you change the battery the alternators on the V8s can be a bit weak(although usually only in the winter on high load) Kiel

Mine does the same.. Did you get a message on the stereo saying system failure system shutting down by any chance?

Mine switches off after couple seconds and so does the sat nav... range rover vogue 2011
