Knocking suspension '06 SC - bushes vs lower suspension arm?

I've been through the various knocking suspension threads, but could not see anything that tied up with what the dealer suggested.

They pointed out at the last service that front suspension bushes were starting to wear, and that I should get them replaced at the next service. They also suggested replacing the front suspension arms as these come with all the required bushes in place, so labour cost was the same but more benefit would be gained.

Can anyone suggest what this involves - parts and approx time/cost?

The car has no LR warranty and the LR dealer I visited did not point to any TSB or recalls, suggesting that worn bushes were the cause of the noise, which I guess is "wear and tear" rather than anything to shout about.

I'm fine with this, so long as it does fix the issue, but would like to know the cost and whether going to LR for the work or any other garage makes a difference.

I was quoted £660 for both front lower wishbones. With a bit of thought rather than just replacing things for the sake of it and their not paying. It actually cost me 50p to stop it knocking forever Thumbs Up

Care to elaborate on the 50p solution?

lower arms are 130 each to the trade if i remember rightly and they need to be cut off which can be time consuming. id suggest finding a local LR specialist.

Anti roll bar bushes are peanuts and worth doing at the same time.
