Australia 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 S Rimini Red

Hi Guys. During a recent trip through outback N.S.W. my Satnav went haywire. It appears that the vehicle icon on the screen is not matched to the mapping speed so it goes completely haywire.It would appear that the navigation is not matching or in line with the vehicle speed. Just a long shot but before I head into dealerland to get a diagnosis has anyone had this type of problem:

I would suggest it might be the link between the speed sensor and the GPS - the unit has a feed from the clock to and on the later ones gyros to know where it is and how quickly when gps signal is blocked or dodgy like in a tunnel Mike
