Question on behalf of my brother who has a 10my RRS 3.0 HSE.

The LCD panel in between the main instruments in the binnacle is very bright. He finds it distracting at night. The dimmer control on the light switch dims all the switches and instruments, but does not dim this LCD panel which remains very bright.

Is there a way of dimming this LCD panel at night? 2004 Disco 3 TDV6 HSE in Zambezi Silver + Ebony

Yes! There is a way to dim it. You need to go In to the vehicle set up menu. I don't knw the actual process give me 30 mins and I'll be able to tell you

Go to home menu screen .
Into settings , second one down into screen settings then display settings.
You an then change the brightness
Or to turn off you can press the red x to close  

Sorry, but I think you are talking about the sat nav screen, and he has already found those settings.
The one I am talking about is the LCD panel in between the rev counter and the speedometer that has the fuel guage, temp guage and message centre. 2004 Disco 3 TDV6 HSE in Zambezi Silver + Ebony

Ok to the right of the steering wheel there is a dimmer rotary wheel thing. That should control that
