Me and SWMBO have got 2 weeks holiday starting on Monday and have decided its a bit silly to have a proper holiday given its kids school holiday time and everything is silly money so we have postponed that until about October.
So we've decided to just have 3 nights somewhere in the UK really nice,perfect location would be somewhere I can fly fish with a really nice spa for Maria,distance not too important as long as it's less than say 8 hours so the Outer Hebrides is a no no !!!
Nothing too formal as we spend our working lives in suits so smart casual attire so we can chill is OK.
Budget about a grand tops,anybody actually been anywhere that fits the bill? MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

You might want to check out the Saunton Sands Hotel, Braunton, North Devon.

Foods usually very high standard, Fly fishing on the Taw not too far away.; believe there's still beauty treatment and stuff. Have a squint at their web site.

Just to clarify I'm a novice at flyfishing so need a small lake attached to the hotel rather than anything really challenging.

Used to love the air show on windermere as a kid, moored up on the family boat with the red arrows shooting around above your head, and all the other low flying aircraft
